Charter & Regulations

                                                                                         Charter

1. Recruitment

Upon initially joining the guild, new applicants will become a recruit for 14 days. You must sign up on the web site and add you character to the guild roster. You add character to the guild roster by clicking Apply to Guild at the top left of the guild web site. Fill out everything completely. It is highly recommended that you play as much time as possible and group with guild mates during the first 14 days so people can get to know you. Also, sign up for a least one raid while you’re a recruit.

After 14 days time, a leader or officer will put a vote in the forums for existing KotR members to vote on the new applicant. Polls have no minimum votes before being counted.  This is your chance to use your "voice" and vote. Of those votes counted 75% must be in favor of the player for them to get membership. If they get 25% or more votes against them becoming a member then they will be removed from the guild. If 50% or more of the votes are "Need More Time" and there isn't 25% in "No" then they will stay a recruit for 7 days and then be voted on again. If a recruit is put up for a second vote it will be a yes or no vote only. If the new applicant gains the required number of votes he will then be promoted to Member. All recruits receive their guild tag after promotion to member.

Recruits are not allowed to vote on members whose polls are listed on site.

Members are then promoted to the higher ranks based on merit and the recommendations of the leaders and officers. You will have a better chance of gaining a promotion by helping the guild and your fellow guild mates.

If you have more them one toon in the guild, you must put a note under the toons name if it’s you main or Alt. If it’s your alt please make a note who’s your main (ie the toon you are known as to everyone)

If a recruit hasn't logged in for 30 days they will be removed from the guild.

After you become a member, if you have not logged in for 30+  days you will be removed from the guild - unless you post a note under your toons name as why you’re not going to be able to log in. (i.e. military deployment…etc.)
Note that you must add an expected time of return (from leave/break from game) so you have no more than 30 days from the return date until you are deemed inacitive, and have toons/DKP removed from guild.

If you wish to leave the guild, and you do so on good terms ( i.e. taking a break from the game,  Guild raid time don’t match with yours…ect)  If you return to the guild within 3 months you are not subject to another vote and member status will be restored.  If a member is re-invited back to the guild after the 3 month time period, Officers may waive the voting requirements for members but only after an officer meeting or officer only vote.

If a member was kicked from the guild, left the guild before they were kicked or left the guild on bad terms, a reinvite to the guild will be dependent on an officer meeting and or an officer only vote. If that person is extended a re-invite,  he/she will be a recruit for 14 days or longer if deemed necessary by the officers.  After the recruit period, he/she will go up for a guild vote.

Leaving the guild on bad term will result in losing your DKP

2. Voting

Everyone please vote on the membership polls. Your vote’s effect who you will be grouping, raiding and socializing with on a regular basis. Vote on every membership poll.

If you like the recruit then vote "Yes". They will appreciate it and you will be helping their chances at membership.

If you dislike the recruit vote "No". If you don't vote there is a chance they might get membership. You might have seen a side of the recruit others have not.

If you don't know the recruit or just don't know them well enough vote "Need More Time". This will keep them as recruit status so that they may have more time to get to know the guild members.

We encourage people to post a comment about the person or topic you are voting on.   Here is you chance to lobby for or against a recruit or topic.  This will let other members know the positives or negatives about a recruit or topic - if they don’t already know.

3. End-Game Masters - Inbound

If a End-Game Master drops while you are adventuring that you cannot use with that character or by a character in that group, then it will be given to the Guild. 1 point is awarded for each Member of the guild present in the group when the master is dropped.

Note - You can not keep a master for an alt unless you were playing that alt or that alt was in the group at the time the master dropped. Breaking this rule could result in been kicked from the guild. (See Conduct below)

If you are soloing and a master drops that one of your other toons can use, you can keep that master as long as you are of level to use it.

All masters looted by Keepers of the Realm members ("Members") that are not in a KotR raid that cannot be used by a person of his/her group are to be mail to the Administration Officers (Currently: Eerietwo) with a list of who was in the group so points can be awarded.

Masters may not be traded or sold directly between Members. [The goal here is to strengthen the guild. We know that selling masters that you have looted is a source of income for some, but this guild has always had a philosophy of strengthening its members.]

If you loot a master you can not use and try to sell it or trade it vs. giving it to the guild you will be kick from the guild

4. Raid Rules

There are several rules needed to be followed while on raids. These rules are in place to make raiding not only a rewarding event but an enjoyable one as well.

Only members signed up for the raid will be able to go on the raid.

One can only bid for the toon brought to the raid unless asked to bring another toon.

All scheduled raids will be posted a week in advance on the calendar by an officer or raid council. Some raids will be called on a moment's notice as numbers for a raid permit; however
Pick up raids that are awarded points at any time will be raids sanctioned by attending leaders/officers only.
Only they may deem the mob to be worthy of points.
Generally, low end contested raids and other pickup raids will not be worth points and the loot from contest raids will be rolled on. Points will only be issued if you have signed yourself up for these raids before the event during the event. If you are not signed up for the event, there will be no points issued (special circumstances will apply if presented to an officer as soon as possible).

Fifteen minutes after the scheduled start or form-up time, the raid party will move out. Late comers may be left behind. If you wish to make the raid, get there on time. If there are insufficient attendees for a raid, the raid may be canceled and one point will be assigned to those who showed up.

DKP Point allocation

1. All members will receive DKP based upon 1 point per hour. People who join the raid late or leave early will earn points by the hour.  Arriving late and leaving early is highly discouraged.

2. On Time bonus: 1 bonus point for people that show up on time and ready for the raid which includes being at form up 15 minutes prior to the start of the raid, fully repaired, all signets/symbols, adept3 or better combat arts/spells, and have all their combat arts/spells.

3. Guildmembers who do not fit and are on time and prepared to zone in
(i.e. Repaired, all signets/symbols, adept3 or better) will earn  a bonus point for arriving on time (15 min prior to posted time of raid at raid zone door.).
On short raids that are expected to take under 1 hour it will be this single point only.
On raids that are expected to take over 1 hour 1 bonus point will be applied to Guildmemebers who do not fit.

So NO-FIT Guildmembers shall receive either 1 or 2 DKP only
However:
On the longer raids (raids over 1 hour), a roll will be taken and if those who did not fit are not available, points will be awarded accordingly as stated above.
If they are available and then asked to join,  they will receive full points.

4. If raiders are asked to leave early by the raid leader or voluntarily step out for a needed class – you will receive full points for the raid.

5. Success DKP: The raid council members can deem the raid fit for success points. These events can include but are not limited to killing tough mobs for the first time (i.e. Any End-Zone mobs of the highest tier etc.) and spending an extreme amount of time on a raid learning how to triumph over the difficult raid mobs of the highest tier.

There are a number of criteria for selecting members for a raid, some of which include:

(a) Being signed up: This allows officers to get a sense of whether a raid will happen. We will try to pick those signed up first, but this may not always happen.
(b) Required classes: Some raid may requires specific class to be successful, those classes may have priority
(c) Being the highest level: Much of the raid content is suited for level 70s, and, thus, it is preferred, especially for melee classes, that our raids are full of level 70s
(d) Attending past raids: We would like to see members who consistently raid to develop a rhythm

All raiding members must be on ventrilo (excluding those who cannot) and in the proper channel prior to entrance of the raid. When in ventrilo keep chatter to a minimum. Maintain silence when instructions are being given out.
There will be no warning if someone refuses to give the floor to a raid leader, and they will be "globally muted" on ventrilo until the raid ends or an apology is given in raid chat and then observes the rules. If you have a valid point that needs to be made, do not interrupt instructions on Ventrilo. Type in raid chat that you would like to add something, or if there is a break on instruction in Ventrilo, bring it up then.

Breaks will be given during the raid. If you need a break or have to go AFK ask or tell someone.
DO NOT go AFK without telling anyone (NINJA AFK). This will get you kicked from the raid.

All members in the raid will use the Main Assist. This is not to prevent you for topping the parse. This is how we try and control agro.
If you do not use the MA, you will be kicked from the raid.
The only exception is if the raid leader tells you to target the mob directly.

We do not allow 2-boxing on raids.  Don't do it and it won't be a problem.

No distracting or lag-causing events, spells, or mounts of only run speed increase shall be used or activated during form up, and throughout the raid (only mounts that give a buff are permitted). You will be asked to dismount prior to group forming.

Everyone must listen to the Raid Leader and/or Raid Council for instruction given on vent or in raid chat/direct tells. The Raid Leader has the final say on what happens during the raid. If raiding member does not follow these rules a verbal warning will be giving. If the problem persists, that member will be kicked from raid.

5. Raid Loot Rules

Merchant fodder collected during a raid is guild bank funds, unless specifically required by a guild member (such as a recipe book). It will be sold at the merchant and the proceeds will be deposited into the guild bank. If you see an item you need, speak up.

Rare raw materials will be rolled on after the raid is finished for everyone in the raid and must have an upgrade use for the raw. The raid leader will oversee the distribution of these raws.

End-game fabled and Legendary gear will be available for bids by raid attendees in the form of points acquired by raiding. You will not be forced to spend all your points unless you choose to. Keep in mind you could be outbid if someone decides they want the item more than you.

You can only bid for items with the toon you bring to the raid.

The winner of any loot will be:

1. The highest bid from a Keeper attending the raid.
Please note that some Raids/Mobs may be deemed to be open only to Main toons ONLY. Please confirm prior.
If none, then....

2. The highest bid from a raiding Keeper ALT. If none, then...

3. TRADABLE items will be placed on the guild website for general guild-only bidding.
Non-guilded raiders have no rights to these items at all.

4. NO-TRADE items will be offered to non-guildies in the raid on a need basis in the event no raiding guildie or raiding guildie alt wants them.

5. If the NO-TRADE item is still unwanted, and if the raid leader determines that the item is of sufficient value or rarity to warrant the trouble, the item will be offered to GUILDIES who are not in the raid and who can make it to the chest without unduly delaying the raid.

6. NO-TRADE items that fail all the above cases will be transmuted.

You must be aware of the points you have available. This information will not be provided to you. Just like the raids are posted a week ahead of time, your point totals are always available on the guild site.

Starting bid amount (all endgame tier gear):

8 points for legendary
12 points for fabled

Addendum:

The new system requires each player to pick one main and one alt, which need to be approved by raid leaders/officers. We will have a limit to the number of that class that can be mains/alts. Example, we don’t need 6 warden raiders. It just isn’t logical (captain)

Those 2 toons are the only toons you are allowed to use dkp on. Any other alts will go into plat bids before we auction to the server. Plat bids for guildies start at 25p. Pick your toons carefully as you will not be allowed to change once approved.

IF YOU WANT LOOT YOUR TOON NEEDS TO BE AT THE RAID ENTRANCE TO BID ON IT. NOT SOMEWHERE IN NORRATH REGARDLESS OF THE FLAG! YOU WANT IT, YOU WAIT FOR IT! ALTS INCLUDED!

6. End-Game Masters and other loot - Bidding System

All masters given to the Guild are placed into the "Master bids forum". If you wish to make a bid on the master then place a post in the forum with the amount of points you wish to bid.

There is distinction between "MAIN" and "ALT" characters when it comes to bidding on Masters. Masters will go to a "MAIN" before an "ALT".

PLEASE NOTE: To be recognised as a main you will be ranked as a main (Be it a raider or a member). No person may have more than 1 main at any time.

There is no distinction between "main" and "alt" characters when it comes to bidding on Legendary gear  or collectables  put up for Auction.

If you can use the master spell or gear and have the points feel free to bid. Minimum bid on any master is 1 point. Minimum starting bids for loot and gear are as follows:

1 point for Transmuted items (Powders, Mana...etc.)

4 points for legendary

12 points for fabled (Including Patterns)

You cannot bid points that you do not have. You can not make multiple bids that would cause you to go in to the negative if you won all the bids you placed.

Only bids from people who have the points, have registered characters in guild and are able to use the master or gear (this includes level requirement and class) will be accepted.

Bidding if not of Lvl:  If you have interest in a master and you are not of level, You must be in that teir level to bid, a lvl 25 cannot bid on lvl 70 masters, but a lvl 70 toon can bid on a lvl 79 master….ect.   You may post in the bid (expressing interest, with toon name and current lvl)  If no toons of level bids on the master you will be allowed to obtain the master at the cost of the difference of your level and the master level in dkp. (i.e if you are lvl 75 and the master is lvl 80 it will cost you 5 dkp)   If two under level toons both express interest, the higher level toon at the time of the close of bids will be awarded the master.  If two toons are the same level, they may begin a bid war at the minimum cost of the difference in level.  Toons that are the same level of the master or higher, will always trump the lower level toons bids.

Masters, Loot and gear will be open to biding for a period of Approx 7 days. If more than 1 person is bidding on a master then a period of 24 hours will have to elapse after the last bid before the master/loot is awarded.

If the bidding period on a master/loot elapses with no bids placed then the master/loot will be sold on the broker. Any master or gear placed on the broker can be requested from the Admin officer for a cost of 1 DKP for master and 4, or 12 points for legendary and fabled gear (only if you meet the level and class requirement.)

Members may not sell masters or gear obtained from the guild. This is grounds to be Kicked from the guild

Please state the toon you are bidding for with you place your bid!

7. Conduct

All guild members will have their guild events turned on.
If guild event are switched off, disciplinary will may be taken (i.e. removed from the guild).
This is to ensure proper recognition is given and it also promoted honesty and accountability.

All members must add all of their KotR toons to the guild roster. Click the Characters / Settings link at the top of all pages on the KOTR guild website and fill out everything completely. This is used to award points for raids and master drops. If you do not add your toons, points may not be awarded properly. This is your responsibility

All guild members are to treat other guild members with respect. Jokes fun and games are cool but realize when it isn’t funny anymore to someone and stop. In regards to players outside the guild we hold a very good reputation as one of the most respected guilds on this server anything that would jeopardize that respect will be dealt with or expulsed from the guild

We are all (or mostly all) adults here and sometime we have adult conversations on ventrilo or chat. Please remember that some people may have small children within ear shot. Please try to keep vulgar language to a minimum or talk about the subject. If another member asks you to stop, please do so.

If you are found in violation of any of these rules, disciplinary action will follow in the following manner.

1st Counseling
2nd Verbal warning when deemed needed
3rd An officer vote to demote to recruit facing a second guild wide vote
4th Removal of the guild with no return

Remember if certain rules are broken, you may be kicked from the guild without warning.
